“Without an expansive area to work with, the design had to focus on efficiency and attention to detail. By carefully working with the homeowner on every aspect, the design team was able to create a one-of-a-kind culinary retreat with the form and function the homeowner was after. What was once a conglomeration of many rooms has been transformed into a bright, timeless kitchen and master bath. The design team paid careful attention to details like seating, storage, lighting, and materials in order to make the most of this space. This design focused on renovating the traditional farmhouse without compromising the original beauty of the structure. Antique meets contemporary to create a space that is warm, fun, and cozy.” East Coast Home + Design, 2015 Kitchen + Bath Issue

Our Solutions

“The designers selected classically styled cabinetry to provide the custom storage the homeowner needed without clashing with the timeless integrity of the design . . . the team at Rose Adams Home identified ways to improve efficiency in the space while offering the accessibility needed for daily living. Even without tons of space, the design team was able to provide ample storage, shelving, and other conveniences for the homeowner. Bright white cabinets and countertops provide the perfect contrast to the warm, wood floors. Plenty of natural light from windows and doors provide the perfect accent for preparing culinary masterpieces and hosting family gatherings. The convenient island creates the ideal prep space and houses the farmhouse sink. The designers added seating here to offer an idyllic setting for morning coffee. The end result is a bright, balanced, functional design that gives the clients everything they need . . . efficiency and modern conveniences. Included in the design of the kitchen was the master bathroom, which is found just off the kitchen. The design for this area evokes a sense of warmth and comfort, while adding conveniences necessary to provide functionality for 2 people. Every detail of the master bath was designed with 2 people in mind — from the his and hers tub to the dual sinks. As bright and airy as the kitchen, the master bath flows easily with the rest of this rambling farmhouse . . . The end result is a bright, airy, cozy kitchen with tons of storage and seating. Whether the kids are home from college for the weekend or the homeowners have the place all to themselves, this kitchen is sure to provide the perfect hub for family activities.” East Coast Home + Design, 2015 Kitchen + Bath Issue
